Well, not the human element you might expect when you think of the hordes of people on the streets of New York. I avoided the obvious idea of depicting the live human beans striding rapidly to and fro, shoulder to shoulder, on the sidewalks deep in the concrete canyons.
No, these are human figures (of a sort) placed in deliberate juxtaposition with nearby structures in order to bring out that slight hint of an Orwellian world (the theme over the past few days of blog posts). Perhaps they are more of a de-human (ized) element.
