What a wonderful surprise! Last Friday night, the above image won the “Commissioner’s Choice Award” at the 2015 Boulder County Parks & Open Space “Land Through the Lens” Juried Photography Show now open at The Great Frame Up in Longmont, Colorado.
This means Boulder County will purchase it and hang it prominently in one of their offices. What a wonderful honor!
Coincidentally, I also have work currently on exhibit at The Darkroom Gallery just across the street.
Here are the details on both…
Boulder County’s “Land Through the Lens” Show
–Now up at The Great Frame Up, 430 Main Street, Longmont, Colorado. The hours are 10:00a.m. to 6:00p.m., Monday through Saturday.
–Show runs through September 4, 2015.
–Lots of great Boulder County Open Space images (mostly landscape and wildlife, with a few abstracts) by excellent local photographers.
–I have two pieces up, including the above-mentioned award winner.
The Darkroom Gallery “Absence of Color” Show
–Now up at Julie Cardinal’s small but very classy gallery, The Darkroom, located at 515 Main Street, Longmont, Colorado. Her hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 12p.m. to 5p.m.
–The exhibit runs through September 11, 2015.
—Debbie Adams, Brian Killigrew, and Karen Adler also have some wonderful imagery up for you to peruse and purchase. (Of course, Julie also has some of her own very, very large prints always on view.)
–I have nine monochrome landscape pieces displayed, eight sized at 30″ x 20″ and one at 40″ x 27″. I really like how these bigger pieces look!
