This photograph, from Tuesday morning’s ice walk along South Boulder Creek, made me think of a huge fried egg…which then caused my mind to wander off to one of the great classics written in 1960 by Theodor Seuss Geisel, known to you as Dr. Seuss, of course, of course. It was published as a children’s book and the text, interestingly, used a total of just 50 different words (from which I learned to read).
An excerpt:
“Do you like green eggs and ham?
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.
I do not like green eggs and ham.
Would you like them here or there?
I would not like them here or there.
I would not like them anywhere.
I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam-I-am…”
Thank you for the memories, Dr. Seuss!
