I am especially satisfied when I come up with an image that is simple yet very different. This one seems to me to be almost extraterrestrial. In this case, I also like the high key post-processing.
What you see is a distant view (from yesterday) of the Valmont Generating Station from a “Cherryvale Ridge” vantage point. All that could be seen above the morning fog layer was the vapor and exhaust escaping from one of the tall chimneys.
That would be the literal explanation of the photograph, anyway.
What else might it mean?
