Like yesterday, this is a post about playing with water… and looking for that “just right” shutter speed which reveals the character and beauty of the sea (and, in the first set, its odd juxtaposition with giant concrete cubes).
This time, though, I have elected to maintain the color component of the images. Orange and blue are across from each other on the color wheel and are, therefore, complementary colors… and they certainly do make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
So, I kept the color.
I have posted the shutter speeds (et cetera) for each image to give you an idea of a starting point if you wish to do something similar. I used the Color Efex Pro plugin to enhance color and contrast a bit, as well as some simple adjustments (Levels, Contrast, Saturation, Burn/Dodge, spot removal, slight cropping) in Adobe Photoshop Elements… all told, maybe ten minutes work per photograph.
