From what I can glean from a short Google excursion, this place is no longer a supplier of auto parts–it is “closed for good” as the sign says. It had been open for 40 years, which is one heckuva run for a small business.
Instead, the site is now apparently some sort of a funky art studio. There may be a fee to enter (by appointment, too, more than likely) as well as an hourly charge for someone like me who would like to do a little photo essay on the place. I’m checking into it…
Definitely something to put on the agenda if one can get access with the right light and weather conditions.
And… this photograph does not even come close to showing all the wild, bizarre, and curious things that one can glimpse inside their fantastically far-out and funkadelic fence.

Could you possibly sell one of your VW Bus bodies I know you have not been in the car parts business for quite awhile I’m a factory trained VW mechanic on late 1960’s models. Would like to restore an old bus used to have a 1962 bus.

Hey, Brad. You’ll have to contact the salvage yard–I was just the photographer passing by with a camera! ; )
By the way, my first car was a 1967 VW Karmann Ghia. It was pretty beat up, but the motor never failed me!
Do you have more photos of this place?! I’m so interested in it!!
Unfortunately, no, Leanna. It would be fun to go inside for a photo session–it is, indeed, an interesting place. Maybe someday!
