Scientists now believe that birds (like the seagulls in these images) are remnants of the once thriving dinosaur population–the survivors of that massive extinction event way back in the Cretaceous Period maybe 60-100 million years or so ago.
What will be left of us refried human beans after the next extinction event? (I’m looking at you, Dear Halocene.) Will some future advanced species of humanoid survive to dig up (and study with Eric Idle academic curiosity) the enormous metal, glass, and stone structures we have erected around the world in our search for immortality, to leave a mark?
What better symbol, then, to have flying above these Barcelona structures than an ex-dinosaur, eh?
