Out of the mountains and back on the streets…
And, hopefully, I´m not doing too much of the above between shots as I practice my street photography here in Barcelona…
Trying to capture interesting moments or juxtapositions is extremely difficult. I am finding that for each relatively successful capture I lose about 50. That is, I watch 50 interesting situations develop and immediately dissipate like a song on the wind before I get a chance to get in position with my camera up and the subject(s) framed.
Learning to anticipate what might develop is a skill that will certainly take time. The good part is, even though I don´t actually press the shutter on many, many situations, I am at least seeing them. The next step will be to get ahead of the time curve enough to know when the critical trajectories are coming together.
