Another Dawn Visit to Montserrat Mountain

Best after a storm

Post-storm conditions are ideal for image hunting at the Montserrat massif just outside of Barcelona. The fog and cloud cover is in constant movement, forcing you to keep your cranium on a swivel… looking down into the valleys below… then into the distance to the many layered ridgelines (see the wind turbines way over there?)… and always of course looking up at the amazing and bizarrely sculptured conglomerate escarpments.

All photos were made on the Nikon D850, on a tripod, with mirror lock up and a 3-second shutter delay to negate the need of a remote release, with the standard trilogy of lenses: 14-24, 24-70, and 70-200.
