It’ll be a couple of weeks before I can report back…but I now have three cameras cocked and stuffed with film:
1) A 1950s vintage Brownie sans flash unit, loaded with Kodak T-MAX 400 (B&W)
2) A 1960s vintage Diana camera, loaded with Ilford Delta 100 (B&W)
3) My trusty 1970s vintage Canon AE-1 35mm camera (that walked the length of Arizona with me once…on its little tiny legs), loaded with Fuji Provia 400X (color)
I am particularly looking forward to trying the Brownie camera on the street for some fairly close-in people photography. These days, not many will recognize the little black box as a camera–plus, you hold it at your waist to shoot (which is even more stealth) while, at the same time, that low angle gives you something other than the typical eye-level perspective.
Stand by for the rest o’ the story when I get the scans back! This should be fun!
