Hi Daniel –
I am the owner of Little Brother Cabin. It has been in my family since 1970. According to a local historian it was built in 1928 and lived in for two years by a couple from Kansas. They couldn’t take the harsh winters and went back to Kansas. My parents bought it from a family in Nebraska who owned other parcels in Allenspark. I will have to do some more research to find out who the “Little Brother” was. I think it involved the family from Nebraska. My mother fixed it up for my grandmother to stay in during the summer but since it had no running water she only managed to do it for one summer. We now use it as a storage shed and argue every year with the Boulder County Assessor that it is not livable!
Susan, that is interesting stuff, thanks for visiting and commenting! I love the back stories to all the interesting things we have around our local area. I have always admired the cabin every time we stop across the street for breakfast and I finally photographed it.

I was so surprised and grateful to find a print of this photo at my front door when I arrived at the cabin yesterday! Thank you so much for thinking of us. It will be a treasured photo to hang on a wall here at the cabin.
